POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Coordinator, Curriculum Services (Collegiate High School)

DEPARTMENT: Academic & Student Affairs SITE: DO

SALARY SCHEDULE: A&P   GRADE: C

BASIC FUNCTION:

Administers and coordinates all curriculum development and approval processes under the Vice President, Educational and Student Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

v      Coordinates the movement of course and program proposals through the curriculum development and approval processes.

v      Assists faculty, program directors, and others with the preparation of proposals for new or revised course and program proposals.

v      Works with data systems, word processing, and other college services to insure accurate and timely action throughout the curriculum process.

v      Maintains the course management system including entry of all curriculum-related data into the system.

v      Recommends changes to the curriculum development system to make it more effective and responsive to the needs of faculty and the C&I Committee.

v      Coordinates the implementation of directives and responses to requests from the Statewide Course Numbering System.

v      Disseminates curriculum materials throughout the college.

v      Revises and updates the Curriculum and Instruction Manual.

v      Coordinates the development and printing of the college catalog, including development of bid specifications for printing, monitoring BOT Rule changes and curriculum developments, and coordinating with provosts, and others regarding material for the catalog.

v      Administers the teacher recertification process with the Bureau of Teacher Certification.

v      Administers the five-year course deletion process.

v      Administers the three-year course review process.

v      Assists in the preparation of the High School Counseling Manual.

v      Updates various college calendars.

v      Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in a related area.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years experience in High School/college teaching and curriculum development.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of High School/college curriculum process. Knowledge of High School/college rules and procedures pertaining to students, faculty and related rules. Ability to work closely with faculty and administrators. Computer skills. Verbal and written communications skills. Interpersonal skills.
