BASIC FUNCTION:
Plans,
organizes, implements and coordinates a large and complex educational project
or training project within a major program or grant. Positions that are
assigned to this classification have been determined by the college to be more
complex and comprehensive than positions assigned to the Coordinator I
classification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, organizes, implements and coordinates a complex
project either as part of a major college program or under conditions of a
grant.
·
Administers all aspects of the specific project including
development, submission and maintenance of any grant which may be involved in
the project.
·
Coordinates proposal writing, reporting evaluation and
financial matters of the project. Tracks, monitors and prepares reports for any
grant which may be part of the project. Writes and develops proposals for new
projects.

Develops and implements policies and procedures for the
project.
·
Maintains or supervises the maintenance of participants data base to track the progress of students.
·
Develops curriculum and materials for the courses offered
and maintains the project content and objectives on a current basis. Develops
new courses.
·
Supervises activities of staff employed to present the
courses or those who assist in the various aspects of the project. Recruits,
hires and schedules instructors necessary to maintain the classes offered.

Participates in the training of project students or
participants. Conducts seminars and develops seminar content and program.
·
Participates in the recruitment and retention activities
of students or participants in the specific project. Functions as community
liaison and makes presentations to promote and explain the objectives of the
college project.

Counsels and advises participants regarding their progress
and provides assistance in areas related to the goals of the project.

Performs research and gathers technical data to improve
the project.
·
Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a field relating to the
specific project of assignment. Master's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three
(3) years experience in a field relating to the project assigned. Community
relations and teaching experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the procedures and practices involved
in the specific project area of assignment.
Knowledge of post secondary education, curriculum development and community
needs. Knowledge of the procedures used in instructing students. Knowledge of
the process involved in developing and implementing a grant project. Ability to work with students and faculty. Ability to develop and implement project goals and objectives.
Ability to relate to the participants of the particular
project and provide advice concerning their progress in the project. Ability to instruct participants in the project subjects. Ability to make presentations to the business representatives and
to community. Supervisory skills. groups. Written and verbal communications skills. Computer skills.
