POSITION TITLE: Coordinator, Program Development & Marketing (HEC)

DEPARTMENT: Health Education Provost Office   SITE: HEC

SALARY SCHEDULE:  A&P     GRADE: C

BASIC FUNCTION:

Researches and developes new program opportunities in the computer and management areas based on training needs of local and regional corporate clients with emphasis on development in the high technology areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Conducts industry needs assessment
• Recommends new continuing education program areas for health care providers, with emphasis on alternative/integrative health care
• Analyzes the potential profitability of new ventures
• Visits health care clients to market continuing education programs
• Develops consortiums of small businesses with similar training needs
• Works with Institutional Advancement to develop the marketing materials and strategies for continuing education
• Supervises the staff assigned to the program
• Provides faculty with information on curriculum development
• Participates in various professional organizations and events to promote continuing health education
• Performs related duties as required

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Educational or other training in health care is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years experience in health care industry required. Continuing education training experience is desired. Experience in developing marketing materials and strategies is desired.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge of training methodologies in a corporate setting for health care. Ability and skill to interact with corporate executives and their staff. Knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques. Ability to analyze and predict profitability of new ventures. Ability to prepare and deliver computer-generated presentations for marketing purposes.
