POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Project
Technologist
DEPARTMENT: SEPSI/MCTFT
SITE: AC
SALARY SCHEDULE: Technical
GRADE: 3
BASIC FUNCTION:
A team member that designs
and develops new and enhanced computer, multimedia, and related technologies
focusing on varying aspects. Works under Technical Project Manager in enhancing
a distance learning program in a team environment to advance the development
of technology-enhanced curriculum, courses and instructional programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contributes expertise in developing
and maintaining technological projects.

Assists in the development of
customized training materials and training modules in a variety of technological
delivery systems including software imbedded training web-based tutorials
and classroom training.

Assists Technical Project Manager
in creating and maintaining specialized data, records and reports relating
to the program.

Assists the clients, faculty
and staff by providing information concerning the project or services of
the project.

Assists with the development
of training videos, CD ROMS, and multimedia delivery modes.

Assists in the development of
web site, web pages with links, web repository, portals, web based training
for both unclassified and classified environments.

Attends meetings, seminars and
conferences to explain or receive information relative to the projects.

Interacts with clients in identifying
problems, assessing educational needs and developing courses and programs.

Assists Technical Project Manager
in creating an over-arching technological plan to incorporate all compatible
technological systems.

Responsible for assuring college
rules, regulations and applicable laws are followed.

Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s
degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years of technology
skills in design and development and enhancement of computer software and
systems including multimedia and related technology.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced computer skills
in multimedia environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to function in a team environment with other technical staff. Must
be able to work in a team environment. Grant experience preferred.
