Be able to apply the following terms.

Compare and contrast the structure and function of the different cell junctions
Compare and contrast the structure and function of the four different membranes..
Describe the criteria used to classify epithelia tissue structurally. Give examples of the various types of epithelia; also indicate their chief function(s) and location(s).
Compare and contrast the structure and function glandular epithelial tissue.
List the structural elements of connective tissue. Describe the types of connective tissue found in the body, and indicate their characteristic functions.
Compare and contrast the structures, functions and body locations of the three types of muscle tissue.

Describe the major functions of the integumentary system.

Describe the major structures of the skin and relate their individual functions.

Compare and contrast the structure, location and function of the specific tissue types composing the epidermis, dermis, hypodermis layers as well as glands.

List the major layers of the skin and relate the functions of each layer and its structures. Include the hypodermis.

Describe the role that Calcitriol provides.

Describe the processes of wound healing.

Demonstrate your understanding of thermoregulation by constructing the relevant neural feedback loop. Use this neural negative feedback loop template.
