B.A.S. in Technology Management
Students will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Management Program at St. Petersburg College as follows:
1. Applicants for the B.A.S. in Technology Management program should have an Associate in Science degree from a regionally accredited institution in
one of the following technical areas: Telecommunications Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Information Technology,
Computer Programming, Computer Service Technology, Database Technology, Electrical Distribution Technology, Electronics Engineering

Technology, Industrial Electrical Technology, Industrial Manufacturing Technology, Information Technology, Security Engineering, Internet Services
Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Network Services Technology or Plastics Engineering Technology.
2. Cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework.
3. Applicants must have obtained 18 credit hours of transferable general education credits.
4. Students with an A.A. or an A.S. major in another area from a regionally accredited institution may be admitted by the Dean on a case-by-case basis.

5. Students with at least 60 semester credit hours of post-secondary education, but who do not hold either an A.A. or A.S. degree, may be admitted by the
Dean on a case-by-case basis.
6. Students with an A.A. degree, with a minimum of 36 semester hours of transferable general education coursework from a fully accredited
postsecondary institution must complete 21 credits in a single technical major in place of the additional general education coursework required of

students admitted with an A.S. degree.

B.A.S. in Veterinary Technology
Students will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Program at St. Petersburg College as follows:
1. Completion of an Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology at an AVMA Accredited program at a regionally accredited college
or university.
or
A. Completion of an A.S. or A.A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology from a non- AVMA accredited program;
B. Completion of ATE 2653L and ATE 2639L and other courses as may be determined necessary.

Students with an A.S. degree that is not in one of the listed areas may be admitted to the upper- division program with permission of the Dean.
2. Cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale in lower- division veterinary technology program.
3. Completion of a minimum of 15 semester hours of transferable general education coursework.
4. Completion of the appropriate upper- division baccalaureate application supplement form and presentation of official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended.
5. Non-Degree seeking students who hold an A.S. or A.A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology may enroll in no more than 12 credit hours of upper division courses in the major
before gaining admission to the degree program.

B.A.S. in Dental Hygiene
Students will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene Program at St. Petersburg College as follows:
1. Official transcript showing a dental hygiene degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
2. Copy of a valid, unrestricted, unencumbered Dental Hygiene license from the state in which the applicant is practicing, to be kept current throughout the
duration of the required course of study.

3. Completion of all college preparatory coursework and a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours of transferable general education coursework.
4. Cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale in all postsecondary coursework.

B.S. in Nursing
Students will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at St. Petersburg College as follows:
1. Official transcripts showing an A.S. degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution or a diploma in nursing accredited by the National
League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
2. Copy of a valid, unrestricted, unencumbered RN license from the state in which the applicant is practicing, to be kept current throughout the duration of

the required course of study.
3. Completion of all college preparatory coursework and a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours of transferable general education coursework.
4. Cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale in all postsecondary coursework.

B.A.S. in Public Safety Administration
Students will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Administration Program at St. Petersburg College as follows:
1. Completion of an A.S. degree in a public safety discipline at a regionally accredited postsecondary institution Students may be admitted with an A.A.
degree with approval by the Dean. If general education hours for an A.A. degree have been completed, students must complete 24 credits in a single
public safety discipline.

2. Cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale in all postsecondary course work (including common prerequisite course work).
3. Completion of a minimum of 15 semester hours of transferable general education coursework.
4. Submit, when appropriate, documentation of a currently valid certification in a Public Safety field to be kept current throughout the duration of the
required course of study.
5. Presentation of official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended.

B.A.S. in Orthotics and Prosthetics
