Initial Admission Criterion for Degree-Seeking Students:
1) Present passing scores on all sections of the CLAST or the General Knowledge Test (GK). Waivers or exemptions are permitted for the CLAST if GK scores are
presented for admission.

2) A.A. Degree: General education courses plus Florida-mandated prerequisites. (Students with at least 60 semester credit hours of postsecondary education, but
who do not hold an A.A. degree, may be admitted by the Dean on a case-by-case basis.)

3) Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework (including common prerequisite coursework).
4) Students are required to disclose, on a COE form after admitted to the College of Education, any information that may be revealed through the FDLE and FBI
background check each semester they enroll in a course with school-based hours. This form is completed through New Student Orientation.

5) Completion of all lower-division state mandated common prerequisites, including the following three Education prerequisites with grades no lower than a “C”:
EDF 1005, EDG 2701 & EME 2040.

Non-Degree Student Admission Information:
1) IMPACT: (Educator Preparation Institute Alternative Certification Program) Post-baccalaureate students who apply to the IMPACT program must submit
official transcripts from all previous institutions attended and the Florida Department of Education Bureau of Educator Certification Statement of Eligibility.

2) Initial Certification: Post-baccalaureate students who wish to enroll in an upper-division course must provide proof of an earned bachelor’s degree (unofficial or
official transcripts) and the Florida Department of Education Bureau of Educator Certification Statement of Eligibility.

3) Recertification: Post-baccalaureate students who wish to enroll in an upper-division course must provide proof of an earned bachelor’s degree (unofficial or
official transcripts) and verification of teacher certification or employment in a school district.

4) Industrial Technical Education: Candidates must submit a copy of a completed high school transcript stating that the student received a standard high school
diploma, college ready diploma or GED transcript with date of graduation.
