POSITION TITLE: Senior Analyst/Programmer

DEPARTMENT: Administrative Information Systems SITE: AC

SALARY SCHEDULE: Technical  - GRADE: 4

BASIC FUNCTION:

Initiates and develops programs applicable to new systems or subsystems and coordinates work of analysts/programmers on major projects/applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists the Manager of Computer Programming and Support in planning and managing computer programs maintenance and development.
• Directs operations of department in manager's absence.
• Performs duties of an Analyst/Programmer.
• Participates in departmental planning.
• Coordinates and monitors major projects assigned to Analyst/Programmers.
• Assists Analyst/Programmers as required.
• Prepares program flow charts and logic development tools.
• Writes documentation in support of systems.
• Deals with all levels of College personnel to design, develop and maintain systems.
• Performs related duties as required.

Bachelor's degree including two years Data Processing training.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years experience in data processing with at least two years at Analyst level.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in multiple programming languages in use and contemplated by the College (COBOL, LINC, and PC-based tools like C++). Expertise in computer hardware and software. Skill in functional and systems analysis.
