POSITION DESCRIPTION

BASIC FUNCTION:
Plans, organizes,
implements and coordinates a specialized College project or program. Programs
assigned to this classification may be short-term assignments or with determined
completion and implementation date and where specific skills and experience of
the incumbent are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Plans, organizes, implements and
coordinates a project either as part of a major college program or under
conditions of a grant.
v Administers all aspects of the
specific area of assignment, including development, submission and maintenance
of records involved in the project.
v Coordinates proposal writing,
reporting evaluation and financial matters of the project. Tracks, monitors and
prepares reports for any grant which may be part of the project.
v Develops and implements policies and
procedures for the project.
v Maintains or supervises the
maintenance of database to track the project.
v Supervises activities of staff.
Those who assist in the various aspects of the project.
v Participates in the recruitment and
retention activities of participants in the specific project.
v Performs research and gathers
technical data to improve the project.
v Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years experience
in a field relating to the project assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the procedures
and practices involved in the specific project area of assignment. Knowledge of
the process involved in developing and implementing a specialized project.
Ability to work with staff, students and faculty. Ability to develop and
implement project goals and objectives. Ability to relate to the participants
of the particular project and provide advice concerning their progress in the
project. Ability to orient participants in the project and subjects. Ability to
make presentations to the business representatives and to community.
Supervisory skills. Written and verbal communications skills. Computer Skills.
