POSITION TITLE: Curriculum
Support Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Provost
SITE: eC
SALARY SCHEDULE: Senior
Career GRADE: 7
BASIC FUNCTION:
Supports the ongoing research, information dissemination,
quality monitoring, and coordination of the operational aspects of curriculum
review and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Works with
representatives of the WITS department on signature course development
processes.
v Reviews and evaluated
classes to insure consistency of content and format
v Improves and develops
new eCampus operational processes
v Works with faculty to
enforce established CMS rules and procedures
v Generates reports and
statistical analyses for information purposes and curriculum improvement
v Develops systems and
provides ongoing monitoring of e-learning courses for quality control
v Monitors and refreshes
content, whenever appropriate, on the eCampus website
v Supports the eCampus
Office in other duties including:
Ř Maintaining the credit
academic plans, common textbook selection, and secure testing procedures.
Ř Maintaining the credit
academic calendar and holiday calendar.
Ř Maintaining and
processing the flexible access process.
v Assists the director in
the development, input, and maintenance of course requisite and objective
checking.
v Processes and answers
inquiries regarding departmental operations or functions.
v Performs related duties
as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree and
three (3) years experience in a related field required. Bachelor’s degree with work in curriculum
design, research and/or instructional technology preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years of
related experience.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of, or the
ability to gain knowledge of, SPC's course catalog and curriculum process. Knowledge of and skill in the use of computer
operating systems and the web. Knowledge of computer applications relating to
basic research. Knowledge of computer
usage relating to the maintenance of the ANGEL learning management system. Ability to maintain good working
relationships with, faculty, staff, students and the public. Strong verbal and written communications
skills.
