BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for assisting
in the coordination of programs, activities, schedules and budget for the
College’s Dual Credit Programs and for the scheduling of both dual credit and
early admission high school students under the Coordinator of the Dual Credit
Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of
the supervisor, serves as liaison to all public and private high schools in
Pinellas County
- Assists in the
advisement of students in program planning, course selection and
registration

Assists in the preparation and maintains the budget for the unit to which
assigned.
- Assist in the
development of an annual schedule of dual credit classes
- Under the direction of
the supervisor, communicates with high school faculty members involved in
the Dual Credit program
- Assist in monitoring
and ensuring that the faculty involved in the Dual Credit program are
properly credentialed and meet SACS standards

Assist in the record
keeping of students which will be used to monitor enrollment of both dual
credit and early admission students.

Opens, reviews, and processes incoming mail.

Relieves the immediate supervisor of administrative and office tasks.

Schedules and participates in meetings, conferences and related activities.

Serves as liaison with other college departments and units.

Processes and answers inquiries regarding department operations or
functions.

Provides information to visitors, students and staff regarding operations of
the department in person or over the telephone.

Operates a computer, calculator, data entry machines and other office
equipment.

Prepares reports, statistics and other information relating to the operation
of the unit to which assigned.

Maintains files, records (computer and hard copy) of the unit and program of
assignment.

Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree or 2 (two)
years of college education in field related to the assigned work area.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years experience
in education
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the
operations of the administrative unit to which assigned. Knowledge of the rules
and procedures of the unit to which assigned. Ability to maintain good
relationships with the public, students, faculty and staff. Ability to type at a
prescribed rate of speed. Ability to take and transcribe dictation if the
particular position requires this skill. Strong verbal and written
communications skills. Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Computer literate with the ability to learn and use those programs necessary for
College support. Office management skills.
