Purpose of Service:
AskALibrarian@SPC
service is provided to assist and direct students, faculty, and staff who
are working off campus with their research needs.
Who can use the AskALibrarian? Current
Faculty, Students, and Staff affiliated with the St. Petersburg College.
What kinds of questions can be answered?

Questions that require brief factual answers.

Research related questions concerning:

Research strategies and suggested sources to find information
for assignments.

How to use the SPC online databases and catalog.

Information and web sites concerning bibliographic citation.

Limited help concerning technical problems. (SPC
Technical Help Desk is available to answer more complex
technical questions.)

Response Time:
Online Reference librarians strive to reply to your questions within 24
hours of their receipt. Librarians check for new questions from the Virtual
Reference Desk during regular library working hours. If you need an answer
sooner, please call the Reference Desk.
Problems:
Occasionally, due to server problems, Virtual Reference Desk can temporarily
be out of service.
