ANGEL ("A New Global Environment for Online Learning") is the software framework on which SPC’s online classes are built. Our easy-to-use tutorials address virtually all aspects of working with ANGEL, from basic navigation to using all the various functions like submitting assignments, taking quizzes, participating in discussion forums and live chats.
For each tutorial, you have three options:
- Simply view the tutorial, with its text instructions, on the screen
- Print out a copy of the on-screen tutorial for later reference
- View an animated, narrated "movie" of the tutorial
The tutorials will help you learn to use ANGEL and troubleshoot any problems you may encounter. To see how ANGEL actually works in a class, visit our sample online course, or go to the ANGEL tutorials index now.
To log in:
Whether you login through the eCampus login page or MySPC page, you will need your username (or User ID) and password.
Username
Your username is now your SPC student ID number. If you don't know the number, go to MySPC and select Look up your User ID/Student number in the login box.
Password
- If you are a returning student, use your current password. If you don't remember it, or want to change it, you can reset your password. Note: This feature emails your new password to the email address you have on record with SPC. No email address on file? Visit a campus admissions/registration office to reset your password.
- If you are a new student, you can simply create your password (minimum of six characters).
If you have trouble logging in:
- Make sure your Caps Lock key is not engaged.
- Check that your username and password are typed accurately, with no spaces, dashes, periods, hyphens, pre-zeroes, or other special characters.
- Try closing your browser and restarting it. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your computer. If you still can’t log in, call the Help Desk at (727) 341-4357 (HELP).
- If all else fails, contact your instructor.
Once you have logged into your course home page, bookmark it for future reference. You will need to enter your username and password each time to enter your course.
To log out:
Use the Logout icon on the left of the page.
Your online course will become accessible on the first day of the session. (See the SPC calendar for dates.) As soon as the session begins, log into your course and follow the instructions for getting started.
On your ANGEL home page, log in by entering your username and password (see above.) From the list of courses, click on the title of the one you want to access.

- Try out the discussion forums by posting a welcome message to your classmates.
- To log out of your course, click on the Logout icon in the left of your screen.
- Take advantage of the many tutorials available to help you work with ANGEL. Go to the ANGEL tutorials index for a complete list.
- Familiarize yourself with ANGEL’s Help files now, so that when you're in the middle of an important assignment you can find the help you need easily.
How to contact your instructor
Your course syllabus will include your instructor's phone number and e-mail address. You can also obtain this information from the SPC contact faculty & staff page or by looking up your instructor's home page via the instructor/course search page.
How to withdraw from an e-course
Please discuss your concerns with your instructor before making a final decision. If you are receiving financial aid and you plan to withdraw from all your classes, be sure to contact your SPC financial assistance office to discuss how that may affect your scholarships or grants. If you do decide to withdraw from your course, check the SPC calendar for drop/add and withdrawal deadlines.
- If the deadline for drop/add has not passed: Go to MySPC and log in. In the right-hand column under Academics select "Drop/withdraw from a class." Follow the instructions for dropping your class and obtaining a refund.
- If the drop/add deadline has passed: You can withdraw but you will not be able to receive a refund. Go to MySPC and log in. Choose "Drop/withdraw from a class" and follow the instructions for withdrawing.
If you still have questions about dropping or withdrawing from a course, contact your Cyber Advisor.
Be aware that you can withdraw and/or repeat the same course no more than twice. On the third attempt to take the same course, you will be charged the full non-resident tuition rate and you will be given a letter grade based on your academic performance in the course.
