SUZANNE SPIGNER, RHIT
Suzanne Spigner is a 1994 graduate of the SPC Health Information Management (HIM) A.S. degree program. During her final clinical internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, she was hired as the Supervisor of Medical Records.  In 1995 she was promoted to Manager of Medical Records at St. Anthony's Hospital (a sister-facility of St. Joseph's Hospital) in St. Petersburg.
In 1996 Suzanne relocated to Texas where she gained experience in the outpatient arena while working as the Clinic Manager for the University of Texas Medical Branch in the Division of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics. She later served as the Medical Record Director of a multi-facility diagnostic imaging organization.
Upon her return to Florida in 1999, Suzanne started her own business called Charts In Time, Inc. located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Charts In Time, Inc. serves local facilities by providing local contractors who specialize in:
- Contract coding
- Record purging and shifting
- HIM backlog cleanup
- Physician dictation
Suzanne is also an active member of the Gulf Coast Health Information Management Association (GCHIMA) and an avid supporter of the HIM programs of SPC. |
