The National Council on Black American Affairs 2004 Southern Regional Conference will be held at the Belleview Biltmore Resort, Golf Club and Spa. The 18th century Victorian style Belleview Biltmore hotel is listed on the National Registry of historic places, and is reputed to be the largest occupied wooden structure in the United States still serving its original purpose. Originally built by railroad magnate and West Central Florida pioneer Henry Plant, the Biltmore opened in 1897 and quickly gained success as a favorite retreat for celebrities and industrial barons. Nestled amid 22 acres of lush tropical landscaping and scenic golf course, the hotel has an assortment of recreational amenities, including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a golf course, fitness center, tennis courts, and spa. The Biltmore offers a peaceful, relaxing setting, and a retreat from the ordinary. The hotel is located just four miles from Clearwater beach.

Discounted room rates have been secured for NCBAA conference attendees.  Conference room rate is $90 single/double.  Rates are subject to applicable taxes, currently 11%. Florida residents, make sure to provide your College tax exemption certificate number when reserving room. Room rates apply three days before and three days after the conference dates. Room reservations must be made by individual attendees directly with Belleview Biltmore Resort reservations department at 1-800-237-8947. Ask for National Council on Black American Affairs conference rate.  All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit. To receive conference discounted room rate, hotel room reservation must be made by September 28, October 8, 2004.  Room availability and rates can not be guaranteed after that date.  Reservations received after September 28 October 8 will be accommodated on a space and rate availability basis.  The hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Conference attendees will have complimentary use of  business center, heated indoor pool, whirlpool, and exercise equipment. The hotel offers a full-service restaurant, a Pub, an ice cream parlor and coffee bar, and a beach club restaurant and bar on Sand Key beach.

Shuttle service is available from the Tampa International and St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airports. Super Shuttle offers a one way trip to hotel ($16 per person from St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport; $18 per person from Tampa International Airport).
