CET 1600 NETWORK FUNDAMENTALS 3 credits

This is the first of four courses designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience to achieve professional certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Instruction includes, but is not limited to networking, network terminology and protocols, network standards, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the open system interconnection (OSI) reference model, cabling, routers, router programming, LAN/WAN topologies, internet protocol (IP) addressing and network standards. Students will install, configure and operate simple-routed LAN, routed WAN and switched LANs . 47 contact hours.
