St Petersburg College recently announced the development of two new degree programs: an Associate of Science in Environmental Science Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sustainability Management. The two cutting edge programs will be rolled out in time for the Fall 2009 semester.
The two-year Environmental Science Technology program will lead to an Associate in Science degree and is fully transferable to the BAS in Sustainability Management at SPC.
The Seminole Campus-based Environmental Science Technology AS includes three sub-plans:
- Water Resource management - includes courses in Hydrology of Wetlands Resources, Urban Pollutants and Hazard Waste/Materials Management, and others.
- Environmental Resources/Energy Management - offers courses in Solar Energy Principles and Renewable Energy Resources.
- Sustainability - includes newly developed courses in Renewable Energy Resources, Solar Energy, Environmental Regulations, Environmental Compliance, Hydrology, Urban Resources Pollutants and Hazardous Waste/Materials Management.
Whichever track you prefer, you earn a powerful two-year technology degree that greatly expands your opportunities in the growing environmental field and/or the ability to transfer seamlessly into the college’s new four-year Sustainability Management bachelor’s degree program.
