David Ross Manson

David is a composer, trombonist, sound artist, experimentalist, and improvisor based in St. Petersburg, Florida. His compositional and performance approaches include improvisation, interactive electronics, and experimental music. David is executive director of the EMIT series of experimental music and former director of the Tampa Bay Composers' Forum (1995-2003). His doctorate is from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is resident composer for the Moving Current Dance Collective and writes for and performs in avant-jazz groups Fluid Motion, SHIM and the Frank Zappa repertoire band Bogus Pomp.
