Eliminating Barriers to Success
St. Petersburg College wants students to be academically successful. That's why SPC's Office of Special Programs offers a variety of programs geared toward students in middle school through college.
The Office of Special Programs is designed to:
- increase students' and parents' awareness of the importance of receiving a college education;
- increase the number of under represented students who graduate from high school and enroll at SPC;
- enhance students' access to college by increasing the "college readiness" of high school graduates;
- increase the number of underrepresented students who graduate with a degree and/or complete academic programs;
- reduce the number of students who leave college before realizing their dreams of graduation.
