A SLICE OF COLLEGE LIFE

Students who will have recently graduated from high school are eligible for St. Petersburg College's Summer of Success (SOS) program. Through this six-week program, students have the opportunity to:
 

  • Attend SPC on a scholarship

  • Earn three college credits

  • Improve English, Reading and Math Readiness skills

  • Explore various career opportunities

  • Become familiar with the SPC campus and resources

  • Visit different business and industries.

  • Meet new friends.

  • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

    SOS scholarships are available to students planning to study at SPC. The costs for the college application fee, tuition for the three credit hours, lab and textbooks are included in the scholarship package.

    SOS COURSE COMPONENTS INCLUDE

    To earn your college credits, all five components must be completed:
     

  • College Study skills

  • Career life Planning

  • Math Readiness

  • Computer Literacy

  • English Readiness
     

    SELECTION  REQUIREMENTS

    Those applying for the program must be eligible for a high school
    standard diploma; be a citizen of United States; and meet one of the
    following criteria:
     

  • First in family to attend college
  • Preference given to students who have passed both parts of FCAT
  • Disabled and/or low income (SPC disability verification required)
  • Plan to enroll at SPC for August Session
