CREDIT SEEKING STUDENTS
To apply to earn a degree or certificate or take credit courses (even if you are not working towards a specific degree), follow the steps on this page. If you are a current or returning SPC student interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree at SPC, go to MySPC, then Login and click on "Apply - BS/BAS/Upper Div Cert" under Student Services.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Visit the International Center for applications and complete admission procedures.

NON-CREDT STUDENTS
Visit the Non-Credit Students page for instructions on how to enroll for non-credit courses (College for Kids, Driver Improvement, Coping with Divorce, Corporate Training, Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning).

Step 1.

Submit application and fee online or apply by mail or in person. Once your application is complete, you will be assigned a Student Number which is your User ID. SPC accepts in-person payment by check, cash, money order, VISA or MasterCard.

Step 2.

Request official High School, G.E.D./College Transcripts from every high school/GED and college previously attended. Receipt of these records is required for degree-seeking students.

Step 3.

Apply for financial assistance if desired. This is the first step to getting grants, loans and SPC scholarships. Contact Financial Assistance Services for more information.

Step 4.

Create your MySPC password. Your USER ID is your Student Number.

Step 5. Complete the New Student Orientation.
Step 6.

Take the Computerized Placement Test (CPT)
SAT/ACT scores and/or appropriate college-level coursework from another institution may be used in place of the CPT. Contact Academic Advising for details.

Step 7. Meet with a counselor or academic advisor to discuss your Educational Plan.
Step 8.

In MySPC, click on "SPC student e-mail." This is the primary method used for official communication from SPC. To forward this e-mail to another address, choose "Forwarding" from the Account Options menu.

Step 9.

Login to MySPC to register and pay for classes. See Academic Calendar for registration dates. A "Registration Tutorial" is available in MySPC.

Step 10.

Get student photo ID card.

Step 11.

After you receive your SPC One Card in the mail, activate it online.

Step 12.

Get your textbooks from the bookstore and go to class!
